Infinitum Strike Empty
PostSubject: Infinitum Strike   Infinitum Strike EmptyFri Apr 24, 2009 1:33 am

If you guys have ever partied with me on lets say an fb or someother instance, you'll probably see me write something like, "3,2,1, Spark" and then you'll notice some wacky dragons flying about.

For those of you who don't know, that is what we call the Infinitum Strike, (Name given by SleepCat)
To basically sum it up, it's our unique way to do an uber massive destructo nuke, capable of doing well over 50k total dmg in the span of about 6 seconds, providing everything goes right.

Here is how it works,

First off, you'll need me =D. Or any other axe bm that has ultimate skill, even spear bm ultimate skill works nicely.
Reason being: these skills buff up your damage, by ALOT. Currently, i beef up damage 80%, (Dmg x 1.Cool. Catch is, it only lasts for 6 seconds, leaving a VERY small window of opportunity. So to maximize this skill, we have developed a timed strategy plan.

The Inf Strike Starts out with me asking everbody if they have 3 sparks ready (2.99 actually, 2 sparks, and 1 filled up meter).
If everybody who is attacking is okay to go, I count down to 3 and say spark after such as:

3
2
1
SPARK

As SOON as i say spark, Use a 1 Spark Eruption, regain 2 sparks by using one skill after that immediately, and then follow through with your ultimate 2 spark skills. Because of channeling/casting times, I will wait about 4 seconds after to launch the Dragons. Every class has different skill set, so must be timed properly. I will try to provide a guidleine for each class, though know my knowledge is limited on every class.

Assume the following skills are used right AFTER the spark eruption.

BM= Phys buff, Aeolian/Ocean Blade, then use ult skill
Wiz= Gush, immediately start channeling/casting ult skill depending on elemental weakness
Barb= Penetrate Armor, wait one second, then Peredition if you're in humanoid form, Devour then Sunder if in Tiger form?
Cleric= EXCEPTION* Cast Elemental Seal when I Say 2, Spark, Plume Shot , the followed by Tempest
Archer=2 regular attacks or quickshot i suppose, and then Storm Rage?
Veno= EXCEPTION* Myriad Rainbow when I say spark, followed by Parasitic Nova? If no Rainbow, Spark Regularily then Venemous scarab then Parastic Nova

If you think there is a better timing with debuff, please lemme know =), again limted knowledge here
<------

Having a perfect party of all 6 classes is highly unlikely, so just play your part =D
If you do not yet have your lvl 59 skill, replace it with your higest dmg-ing skill with a channel and cast time of about 3 seconds total, or add in a regular attack beforehand.

Any questions? just post =D

devour is not the greatest idea if the barb is tanking since it takes 35 chi, and sunder is a pretty low dmg skill for a 2-spark one. really, it's best if a tanking barb doesnt participate at all and just focuses on keeping aggro amidst the 40k nukes :P

To add to it, a veno should bring in an amp damage prior to the BM ult to stack another 20%. :p

but that's a long casting time for the archer, so start sparking on the 2. :P

as a bm i find it very effective to use your single spark, ocean blade, ult skill, aolian blade.

with my aolian blade fully upgraded, i am able to deal an additional 6-10k dmg while the ult skill (dragons) is still in effect....

if you are a sword/axe bm, you can use dragons, switch to sword and use atmos strike for more dmg... i have my sword and hammers hotkeyed for quick switching during battle, especially for inf. strike.

Ideally for the strike, you want the bm with the highest lvl Heavens Flame to initiate the strike, because any other hf directly after a hf will cancel the previous one's effect and replace it with it's own.

The Highest DD skill a bm has is Myriad Sword Stance, which is fortunate for you tasle. However, if combined with aeolian blade and ocean blade, the total time it'll take to use em all is 6.8 seconds + seconds taking to press hotkey.

So i suggest for a blade bm, Spark > Marrow > Drawblood/Ocean Strike > Myriad Sword Stance > Atmos Strike.

i agree drake, i was referring to an option for the bm casting the hf.

as i am slowly working on a dual mastery, i will be doing the hf when there are no other bms in the squad. as a result, being a quick micro can increase the overall dmg i deal, by using hf, then switching to sword and using atmos strike or aoelian blade.

my suggestion above was for other bms who are attempting a dual mastery.

In the chance that the BM has sage/demon skills, they should use either Drake Bash or Farstrike instead, since both deal more damage than even sage/demon Atmos Strike. I think the difference in damage between Farstrike and Atmos is negligible though at sage/demon but I could be wrong.
